Habitat: marine.

Holotype (unique): CAS 2165 (skin). •Synonym of Lutjanus novemfasciatus Gill 1862 -- (Walford 1937:86 [ref. 21524]). Current status: Synonym of Lutjanus novemfasciatus Gill 1862. Lutjanidae: Lutjaninae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
